Tony Rynders
Creating Perfectly Balanced Wines | | Since he began making wines in 1989, our consulting Winemaker Tony Rynders speaks of wines in terms of finding perfect balance. Tony has become a world renowned winemaker exactly for his expertise of creating seamless award winning wines.
Tony began crafting his winemaking skills at famous Pacific Northwest wineries such as Hogue Cellars, Argyle, and also worked harvest in Australia, Italy and California. Upon leaving his ten year tenure as the winemaker at the Domaine Serene, Tony began his own consulting business in 2008. Originally from Wisconsin, Tony completed his Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He moved west and later earned his Masters in Viticulture and Enology at U.C. Davis.
Presently, Tony has not only made all of the wines through the 2009 vintage, from start-to-finish, for Swiftwater Cellars, but has recently launched his own small production wine label – Tendril – focused solely on Pinot Noir. |
