Linda Trotta
Craftsmanship from Vine to Bottle | | A Southern California native, Linda Trotta (Winemaker) began her winemaking career in 1986, upon receiving her degree in Fermentation Science from U.C. Davis. It is a career that has taken her to California, Italy, Chile, South Africa and now, Washington State.
Gundlach Bundschu Winery in Sonoma was her professional winemaking home for two decades. As Director of Winemaking and Wine Growing she managed the estate vineyard and winery with a vision to nurture and produce balanced, refined, site-reflective wines. Her winemaking efforts over the years have continually been recognized with great acclaim by industry experts and press alike including Andrea Immer Robinson, Decanter, Sunset, Wine and Spirits and Top 100 in Wine Spectator. Recently she received claim as being named one of California’s 10 Best Winemakers by writer Dan Berger.
Upon her move to Swiftwater Cellars, Linda announced, “This opportunity was too amazing for me to miss: working for the Watts’ whose commitment to quality is matched by their graciousness, and collaborating with winemaking talent Tony Rynders on wines made from premier Pacific Northwest vineyards. I look forward to many great vintages with the Swiftwater team.” |
