2007 Proprietary Red

This Bordeaux blend has complex aromas of blackberry, cedar, fresh tobacco, black olive, and bramble. The rich and full palate displays layers of cassis, blueberry compote, toast, smoky black cherry with ample yet refined tannins. Delightful with steak and rich dishes. Aged 18 months in 100% French oak; 68% new.

Varietal Composition: 44% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Cabernet Franc, 16% Merlot, 12% Petit Verdot, 10% Syrah

2009 Pinot Noir

The 2009 Pinot Noir is characterized by vibrant red/blue fruit flavors. The complex nose displays ample red plum, raspberry, dried currant, clove, allspice, and a touch of fresh tarragon. The palate is rich and supple, highlighted by flavors of bing cherry, blueberry tart, star anise, toast, pepper, cassis, black raspberry, and violets with a fleshy mid-palate and fine tannins on the long, silky finish. Aging & Cooperage: 14 months in French oak barrels; 62% new oak

Varietal Composition: 100% Pinot Noir

Pairing Suggestions: Salmon or trout; mushroom risotto with Parmesan cheese

2008 No. 9 Red

This Merlot-based blend offers aromas of plum, red cherry, violet, tobacco leaf and barrel spice. The vibrant palate shows lovely blueberry, huckleberry, toasted oak, and white pepper, accented by hints of dried herb.  With soft tannins throughout, it is medium bodied with a long, supple finish.

Varietal Composition: 63% Merlot; 24% Syrah; 13% Cabernet Sauvignon

Pairing Suggestions: Grilled tri-tip, lasagna, flat-bread pizza and Mediterranean fare.

2010 No. 9 Semillon

Lively notes of citrus, fresh nectarine and lemon grass fill the aroma.  Crisp and refreshing on the palate with flavors of lime zest, apple blossom and a lingering minerality.  This wine’s natural racy acidity makes it a wonderful food pairing wine.

Food Pairings: Scallops, grilled chicken, Caprese salad

2009 No. 9 Pinot Noir

This inaugural Number 9 Pinot Noir possesses an ideal combination of freshness and structure. Lifted red cherry, raspberry and rose petal combine with nuances of vanilla and nutmeg, suggesting a seamless integration of fruit and oak. The palate is bursting with sweet red fruit flavors that display an impressive sense of extract and length for such a refreshing, approachable wine. Aging & Cooperage: 8 months in 100% French oak; 4% new, 30% 1-2 years old, and 66% neutral

2009 No. 9 Chardonnay

This zesty Chardonnay opens with aromas of lemon pith, tangerine, cardamom, with mineral and floral notes.  Flavors of lemon meringue, apricot, caramel and honey suckle fill the palate.  Partial barrel fermentation contributes toasty, nutty nuances on the finish.

2010 No. 9 Riesling

Made in an off-dry style (“Medium Dry” by International Riesling Foundation standards) this is a richly aromatic wine offering layers of honeysuckle, white nectarine, apple, and tangerine.  On the palate it opens with a burst of sweet fruit flavors with hints of minerality, carried through to a lingering juicy finish by its bright acidity.

AVA Composition: 100% Yakima Valley

Food Pairing: Shellfish, Thai cuisine, aged Gouda cheese
