2009 Proprietary Red

This Cabernet Sauvignon based blend boasts aromas of blackberry, black cherry, molasses and dark cocoa accented by notes of dried herb and sweet vanilla. On the palate the wine is broadly structured by supple, fine grain tannins and a soft but present acid tension.  Flavors of juicy dark mountain berries, Bing cherry and cocoa powder overlay hints of cedar and earth.  Its dense core of fruit on the mid palate extends to a lengthy finish.

Varietal Composition: 74% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Merlot, 8% Syrah, 4% Petit Verdot, 2% Cabernet Franc

Pairing Suggestions: Pairs well with NY Steak, lamb, venison, wild mushrooms

2008 Proprietary Red--SOLD OUT

This Cabernet Sauvignon-based blend has complex aromas of blackberry compote, black currant, Tarragon and sweet spice. The rich and full palate displays layers of black plum, cassis, clove and tobacco with silky tannins and a long spicy finish.

Varietal Composition: 43% Cabernet Sauvignon; 40% Merlot; 9% Cabernet Franc; 4% Malbec; 2% Petit Verdot; 2% Syrah

Pairing Suggestions: Pairs well with steak, lamb and rich dishes.

2011 Proprietary Red

This Cabernet Sauvignon based blend boasts aromas of candied violets, blackberry jam, sage, caramelized brown sugar and dark cocoa accented by notes of savory herbs and sweet vanilla.  On the palate the wine is broadly structured by supple, fine grain tannins and a soft but present acid tension.  Flavors of juicy mountain berries, scorched earth and cocoa powder overlay hints of woodsmoke and cracked peppercorn.  Its dense core of fruit on the mid palate extends to a lengthy finish.


Varietal Composition: 44% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Petit Verdot, 8% Merlot, 4% Malbec, 4% Cabernet Franc

2010 Proprietary Red

The aromatic profile evokes spice-laden crushed berries, cured meat, candied sage with olive undertones.  A vibrant entry of fruit in the palate brings forth flavors of cassis, braised fig and smoke layered with leather, bramble and bitter dark chocolate.  This wine carries a savory vein of acidity against a firm tannin structure.  Decanting is recommended.  Patience will be rewarded as this wine continues to evolve gaining nuance and complexity over the next decade.

Varietal Composition: 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Merlot, 7% Malbec, 5% Petit Verdot, 5% Cabernet Franc

2011 Swiftwater Pinot Noir

The 2011 Swiftwater Cellars Pinot Noir possesses alluring aromas of pomegranate, golden raspberry and rose petal combined with nuances of cinnamon bark and sassafras. The palate is bright and juicy, with flavors of red plum, bing cherry accented by sweet, spicy oak notes.  The structure displays an impressive sense of extract and length for such a cool growing season.

2010 No. 9 Red

This Merlot-based blend opens with aromas of black cherry, black plum, tobacco, cardamom spice and sweet toasty oak. Soft on the entry, its ripe tannins build slowly through the mid-palate to a finely structured finish.  Dark fruit flavors of plum, black currant and blueberry are accented by notes of dried herb, cedar and sweet vanilla.  This is a medium-bodied wine with a balanced acidity making it a perfect pairing with a variety of dishes.

Pairing Suggestions: Grilled tri-tip, lasagna, flat-bread pizza and Mediterranean fare.

2012 No. 9 Semillon

2013 No. 9 Riesling--SOLD OUT

Made in a nearly dry style (“Medium Dry” by International Riesling Foundation standards) this is a richly aromatic wine offering layers of honeysuckle, citrus blossom, ripe cantelope, tangerine, wet stone, and a hint of diesel.  On the palate it opens with a burst of sweet white pear, clover honey, and spiced dried apricots with hints of minerality.  The wines natural acidity balances its residual sugar, carrying through to a lingering juicy finish.

2013 Zephyr Ridge Chardonnay

Apple blossom, orange zest, carmelized pear and hints of sweet baking spices fill the aromas of this barrel fermented Chardonnay. It has a savory vein of acidity that s framed by a soft, juicy mid alate while retaining focus and acid tension.

2011 Swiftwater Malbec--SOLD OUT

Intense dark violet in color, this is a full-bodied wine with soft, luscious tannins on a textured backdrop of natural acidity.  Juicy,  lifted fruit flavors of blueberry and huckleberry are complimented by hints of white pepper, Asian spice and toasted oak which add layers of complexity that lead into a long, polished finish.

2011 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon Limited Edition

Dark, deep ruby-red.  It delivers a brooding aromatic array of candied violets, crème de cassis, kirsch and wood smoke.  These aromas flow into an opulent, layered palate with expressions of mineral, savory herbs, blackberry, camphor and pain grille.  The firm structures and tightly wound acidity demand 3-5yrs of bottle aging to reach its pinnacle or decant a couple hours before enjoying.

2010 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon Limited Edition--SOLD OUT

Deep, dark ruby in color this is a rich, bold Cabernet Sauvignon that is broad on the palate and framed by fleshy, refined tannins.  It offers up flavors of blackberry puree, black plum, grilled meat and dark cocoa, accented by essences of pink peppercorn and toasted oak.  This is a complex wine with many layers and a natural acidity that will lead to at least a decade of further evolution in the bottle.

2012 Zephyr Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon

Deep garnet in color, the wine displays deep pitched aromas of blackberry, warm spice, black currant and candied violets. Opulent on the palate, this wine showcases brambled fruit accented by hints of cigar box and toast. The wine's masculine structure, density of fruit and framed acidity wil lend to an extended drinking window, but is showing beautifully now.

2011 Swiftwater Syrah--SOLD OUT

Boysenberry, blackberry and candied violets are accented by white pepper and dried herb notes in the aroma. On the palate the wine has a soft, juicy berry entry, accented by dark chocolate, bramble, earthy notes and spice rack. Big, rounded tannins through the middle are brought to a lingering finish by the wines natural acidity.

2014 No. 9 Rose

This bone dry Rose` was barrel fermented sur lie (on lees) in neutral French oak with routine batonage (lees stirring) to encourage depth and complexity.  It opens with aromas of fresh cut roses, strawberry and tangerine with accents of citrus blossom.  On the palate, it has a rich core of fruit with hints of vanilla and spice  wrapped in zesty acidity.
