A new addition to the Wine in the Pines event this year is the Wine Celebrity Seminar… A food and wine experience hosted by celebrity Master Sommelier and prolific author of food and wine pairing cookbooks Evan Goldstein, M.S. Joining him will be wine personality extraordinaire Leslie Sbrocco host of “Check Please!” on the PBS network, the regular wine expert for The Today Show, contributing writer for publications (such as Good Housekeeping, O Magazine and Glamour) and leader of the “ThirstyGirl” movement making wine the focus of fun for all women. The American Lamb Board will be providing the lamb used for the food pairing portion of this event. You don’t want to miss this education yet very entertaining event of Wine in the Pines!

3:30pm-6:00pm: Grand Gala
Fifty plus wineries from Washington, Oregon and California will be gracing the scenic grounds of Swiftwater Cellars pouring a selection of their wines. The afternoon will be accompanied by a few select Northwest restaurants providing small bites to complement the wine and live music for ambience.

7:00-9:00pm: Meet the Maker
Guests spend a rousing 20 minutes with their favorite winemakers as they share their favorites picks from the cellar with 6-7 other people at round tables. At the conclusion of 20 minutes, the group moves to the next table and their NEXT favorite winemaker. A casual fun way to spend the evening with winemakers and their favorite wines…think speed dating but rather “swiftly” learning about the winemaker! Live music and small bites included.
